PERIOD OF CHANGE MOTHER-DAUGHTER MENARCHE RETREAT
As featured in the January 2017 issue of National Geographic Magazine.
Join us for this gathering for girls age 9 to 12'ish and their mothers (or other female caregivers). This sacred feminine retreat and rite-of-passage ceremony will introduce our daughers to their beautiful and wise female bodies. Topics will include the changes of puberty, the monthly female cycle, human anatomy and physiology*, body sovereignty, and ways to establish sacred self-care rituals for life.
Experiences will include group activities, art-making, talking circles, and song. Our weekend will culminate with a rite-of-passage ceremony, honoring our daughters as young wisdom keepers of the Sacred Feminine.
* Human anatomy and physiology of both the male and female bodies will be explored, including the topics of conception and pregnancy. Realistic illustrations of our topics will be shared and discussed. Each mother must determine whether this is appropriate material for her daughter.
