As a Red Tent facilitator and menstrual health educator, I receive emails, texts, and phone calls on a regular basis from women who wish to honor their daughter's first period, but don't have any personal experience from which to draw. They've heard of red parties, perhaps, or feel called to honor their daughter with a coming-of-age ceremony, but simply don't know where to begin. 
With over a decade of experience supporting women and their daughters through menarche, I am currently developing the Period of Change Menarche Guidance and Inspiration handbook, full of ideas, suggestions, tips, and resources to make your daughter's period of change the most positive and empowering experience possible.
